Video from our architectural field trip to Mankato Kasota Stone Quarry in Minnesota workshop. They have several methods for cutting stone (mostly limestone), and I am amazed with one of the method of cutting stone using this huge saw which diameter is about twice my height. Really cool :)

I visited the La Piazza in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, Indonesia. It has an outdoor, open concept mall with outdoor live music. It is connected to the old Mall Kelapa Gading. It's fun listening to the live music during weekends here, since the music are mostly pop music.

Mankato Kasota Stone Quarry

This is the view of one of the stone quarries in Mankato, Minnesota. Shown in the video is the cutting method of the stone directly from the source. The stone that is collected is limestone. We visited the site for our architectural trip last October 2007.
